  • HERE YOU WILL FIND SOME COMMON Q&A

Q: Why did my fineline tattoo heal light?

A: Fineline tattoos are a specialized tattoo style. They are made of thin , delicate linework and shading. Fineline technique requires very small ,fine needles. This means the ink load to the skin is less than when using traditional needle sizes, hence healing lighter and softer than traditional style tattoos. Please reference our healed instagram highlight or our website for examples.

Q: I feel like my tattoo may need a touch up

A: You can book a touch up anytime using our online booking system. There is a $25 tray fee and is charged once your appointment is accepted. Nothing will due at the time of your touch up. There are a number of factors that can affect how a tattoos heals. This includes but is not limited to: a persons skin, lifestyle, aftercare, tattoo style, etc. The smaller the tattoo, the lighter the tattoo can heal, which in turn may need a touch up.

Q: Why cant I bring more than one person to my appointment?

A: Preferably you will come to your tattoo appointment alone, but it is acceptable if you need a support person to attend with you.The reason is because my studio is not big. It’s important to be mindful of our neighbors and limit noise . It is not sanitary to have tons of people in the service room. It can also be a distraction to your artist. Groups of 2 or more cannot bring extra people who are not getting tattooed.

Q: Do you offer apprenticeships ?

A: Currently, no. I will eventually open up apprenticeship opportunities in 2024 at some point but I do not have a definite date. I do offer tattoo training and mentorship. Please email arthausmn@gmail.com for more information.

Q: How do I know my final price?

A: When you submit a form, you will recieve an email response with what appointment to book and an estimated price range you can expect to pay within that range. Prices generally dont change but can if there is a major design, size change , placement change or add on.

Q: I want a tattoo the size of a dime. Will I still be charged the minimum?

A: Yes. Our haus minimum is $185 per person regardless of size. Regardless of how small your tattoo is, we still have to use the same tattoo processes to deliver your art. That includes email communication, drawing of deisgn, set up/ set down and other behind the scenes tasks that go into a tattoo.

Q: I booked an appointment before I go on vacation. Is that okay?

A: No. You do not want to expose a brand new tattoo to sun. This will cause the tattoo to heal poorly, requiring a touch up and put you at risk for a sun allergy or infection.

Q: How long do I need to wait before I get a spray tan after a tattoo?

A: You want to wait until your tattoo is fully healed. You will want to avoid a fresh spray tan leading up to your appointment as well.

  • Please review Appointment Etiquette, FAQ and tattoo preparation before booking your appointment.

How to book: Complete an inquiry form and wait for a response from Lisa before booking an appointment. Allow up to 14 business days for a response. Lisa will recommend an appointment option for you to book. Do not send any follow up email or messages on social media regarding your inquiry.

When completing your tattoo form, be as detailed as possible.

    For example:

Don’t write: I want my kids names.

Write: I want Sophia and Emmett in a loose script on my forearm, about 2.5 inch in size . Attach a picture of your font inspo.

Dont write: I want my parents birth flowers.

Write: I want a rose and morning glory in a small bouquet with minimal greenery, estimated about 4 inches in size. Undecided on placement. Thinking about my ankle or wrist. Attach a picture of your flower inspo.

Disclaimer: ONLY REQUEST TATTOOS YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO GET. If you request a bundle appointment, and decrease to smaller amount of tattoos at the time of your appointment, you are still responsible for the original bundle price you booked for.
